Morals of Clone Wars 1.4: Destroy Malevolence

Moral: “A plan is only as good as those who see it through.”

Did you ever have a co-worker who came up with an idea for work, but then ditched out on following it through? Or a boss who gave you tasks to do that they weren’t on board with? It’s hard to pour yourself into those jobs and give them your best.

James 2:17 says, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Words are useless if our actions don’t show we live what we believe. The church is too full of people speaking but not acting, making plans but not following them through.

The church has the potential to be the strongest agent of change in the world. And I don’t mean the kind of change that Constantine brought about by setting up the church as a political entity. When can change things in ways the government can’t: feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, speaking for the voiceless, giving hope to the hopeless, befriending the friendless. Jesus has given us great plans (such as the Great Commission), and He has given us His power through the Holy Spirit to see them through. If we commit ourselves to His plans and depend upon His Spirit, we can make a big difference.
