Morals of Clone Wars 1.5: The Rookies

Moral: “The best confidence builder is experience.”

Experience is a good confidence builder. Once you start doing something, you find out that you can do it. And when you achieve something–especially something you didn’t think you could do–you find yourself willing to take on more.

The best confidence builder, however, is being rooted in our identity in Christ.

You are the light of the world and the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13&14).You are a child of God (John 1:12). You are Jesus’ friend (John 15:15). You area a joint-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17). You are a temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). You are part of the body (1 Corinthians 12:27). You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are a saint (Ephesians 1:1). You are God’s handiwork (Ephesians 2:10). You are righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:24). You are chosen by God, dearly loved (Colossians 3:12). You are a child of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5). I am a living stone (1 Peter 2:5). You are a priest, part of a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9-10).

Root yourself in those facts, letting them build your confidence. Then go into any situation God calls you to knowing you can do “all things through Christ who gives you strength” (Philippians 4:13).
