Morals of The Clone Wars Episode 1.12: The Gungan General

Moral: “Fail with honor rather than succeed by fraud.”

Failure is scary. The hardest part of failure for me is letting others see my faults and failures. I want people to like me. I fear that if I fail that they won’t like me. It becomes easier for me to put up a false front of fake success.

But, as I have experienced all too well, when I “succeed” by fraud, I don’t succeed at all. Their is only so long that my deceptions can hold. Eventually, they come tumbling down.

Honor comes in doing. Doing our best. Doing honestly. Failure does not matter if we have been real with ourselves and with others. Failure provides opportunities to grow and learn.

May the church never forsake advancing the gospel for fear of failure.
