Morals of the Clone Wars 1.20: Innocents of Ryloth

Moral: “The costs of war can never be truly accounted for.”

If you’ve been around a war veteran at all, you’re well aware that there are many costs of war. Many veterans come home with plenty of psychological issues, in addition to any physical scars they may carry.

What most of us are less familiar with is the casualties who live where the wars are fought. Even without any physical injuries, imagine what children who witnessed war carry with them.

The church often voices its support or opposition of wars. This often helps no one, just making others feel guilty or angry. What if we came along side those who have been through war (on both sides–after all, we are called to love our enemy) and love them? What if we came along side the families of those who had members deployed, helped returning soldiers find jobs or walked with those who were dealing with physical or emotional traumas?

And of course, we must always about seeking out peace where ever and whenever possible.
